Mission Statement
It is the sole intent of the Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate to provide powerlifting competitors an environment in which they may compete at their highest level utilizing the best possible equipment and conditions to perform the squat, bench press and deadlift in the presence of three qualified referees and judged to the long standing and integral criteria of the sport of powerlifting while being shown respect, embraced as a peer and heard as an individual not a commodity.
Code of Conduct applicable to all participants in RPS
PROFANITY DURING COMPETITION – Our goal is to promote a family friendly and non-threatening environment for our competitors and those who come to the competitions to support them. Profane exclamations, those that are audible above the level of conversation, on the platform, prior, during or after the lift, by lifter, coach or spectator will result in a warning. This warning may be given by any RPS staff member. ONE warning will be given. The 2nd instance will result in the expulsion of the individual from the venue. Should the swearing occur during the last lift, the lifter will not be awarded a trophy for the event. ANY attire that has profanity spelled out or implied will be requested to be changed or inverted.
Regardless of conviction and/or date of occurrence, ANY ACT OF VIOLENCE OR ABUSE AGAINST HUMAN OR ANIMAL, will result in 1) recorded lifts removed from the RPS results and records, 2) barred from competing in an RPS competition forthwith, and/or 3) removal from any officiation or representation of the organization. If you have a history of violence but are now rehabilitated, proof of accepting responsibility for your actions (i.e. guilty plea, public acknowledgment and apology) and documentation of successful release from rehabilitation method (i.e. counseling, classes, therapy) will be considered to allow inclusion in competition. RPS meet directors reserve the right to decline entry to an event to anyone, participant, coach or spectator, for any reason.
Revolution Powerlifting Syndicate (RPS) Command Chain
The RPS President has the power to supplement or change the rules in this Rulebook if situations arise and are undefined in this Rule Book. He will make final judgments should the Competition Advisory Committee be unable to settle a discrepancy. The members of the Competition Advisory Committee have the final decision in all discrepancies. They are the governing body for the RPS. The Senior members of the Competition Advisory Committee are responsible for testing new referees and designating Referee Status see REFEREE section. The Meet Director is responsible for the general flow of the competition, selection of referees and other meet staff. The meet director is also included in any consultation regarding a discrepancy during the competition.

INSURANCE AND LIABILITY
The RPS and its sponsors do not provide accident, medical or liability insurance for lifters, spectators, or officials at meets or organized training sessions. It is the responsibility of the meet directors to secure insurance. The RPS assumes no liability for injury, damages, personal losses or death resulting at a meet.
